La filosofía Hyundai es a lo que yo llamo tener algo conocido, con abundancia de repuestos y accesorios, antes que tener algo exclusivo y tener que sufrir después de haberlo comprado. He aquí la razón por la que esta vez me compre una moto kawasaki en lugar de alguna otra marca.
Muchas motos, además de la patilla (side stand), tienen un soporte central, que permite dejar la moto en una posición totalmente vertical y por lo general levanta la llanta trasera. Este soporte, aunque no es recomendable dejar la moto parqueada en él todo el tiempo, si facilita algunas tareas en la moto, por ejemplo, lavarla o engrasar la cadena. Mi moto, como está hecha para andar muy cerca del suelo, no trae el soporte central, y lo que se usa con sportbikes son soporte individuales tanto para la llanta trasera como la delantera
Llegué a la kawasaki y pedí el stand trasero para la moto, y por error me trajeron el stand delantero. Aunque el stand delantero me permite estabilizar la moto de manera vertical para realizar algunas tareas, no me permite levantar la llanta trasera, que es la que se mueve junto con la cadena, y la llanta delantera no me interesa tanto moverla cuando la moto está estacionaria.
Después de aclararles el error que cometieron, me dijeron que tenían algún tipo de problema con el catálogo, y que no había forma de traer el otro stand. Me sonó más a berrinche porque no quise aceptar el stand que trajeron que otra cosa, ya que yo si lo pude conseguir por medio de Internet.
El stand no es un producto difícil de conseguir, por lo menos no en Estados Unidos, pero pude conseguir el original de la Kawasaki ya que la marca es muy popular, mientras que si siguiera con alguna marca no tan popular, sin importar que tan exclusiva sea, tendría que usar algún producto genérico en el caso del stand.
Esto me da mucha confianza para conseguir repuestos en el futuro, ya que si por alguna razón la agencia me diera mal servicio o desapareciera del todo, no tendría que depender de ellos.
