Odio buscar carros
El INS decidió que el carro de mi hermana no sirve ni para maceta después del choque y lo declaró como pérdida total. Aparentemente, el tipo del choque, cuando se le bajaron los tragos, decidió cambiar el tono de voz, se disculpó con mi hermana y decidió aceptar la culpa ante el INS, claro, no sin que antes hubieran varios tipos de amenazas legales. Eso significa que el INS le paga a mi hermana el monto del carro menos el deducible (20% del valor del carro) y el valor de la chatarra que quedó del carro. La chatarra la compran en cualquier lugar, ahí mismo en avalúos hay gente de talleres de enderezado y pintura que la compran, y el deducible tendrá que sacarlo el otro tipo de su bolsa.
El problema es que ahora mi hermana tiene que comprar carro. Si fuera que esta comprando carro por primera vez, y que está cambiando el que tenía por algo mejor uno podría decir que dichosa, pero en realidad a mi hermana le quitaron un carro, que le había salido muy bueno, al que le daba buen mantenimiento y con el cuál ella estaba muy feliz, y con la misma cantidad de plata, si no es que con un poco menos, se tiene que comprar otro carro.
Comprar un carro es como jugarse la lotería. Puede que salga muy bueno, o puede que sea una porquería y haya que gastar un montón de plata dejándolo a punto. Hasta el momento ha sido un dolor de cabeza y sin ni siquiera hablar del motor. De viaje se ve cuando un carro ha sido pintado, poniendo atención a los detalles se puede ver si un carro a sido chocado o no, cosas como que las puertas no estén perfectamente alineadas con la carrocería al cerrarlas, parchones de pintura. Pero si uno le pregunta al vendedor si el carro ha sido chocado responden que no. Me gustaría comprar un carro de estos que fueron chocados solo para que el vendedor me mienta en la cara y después demandar al tipo.
En realidad, que un carro haya sido chocado no tiene que ser un gran problema si ha sido bien arreglado, pero si el vendedor no puede ser lo suficientemente honesto para decirte que el carro fue chocado, como puede uno confiar que el carro fue bien arreglado?
Y para colmo de males, no solo hay que escoger un carro que le guste a mi hermana y procurar que no haya sido chocado, sino que después hay que revisar en que estado está el motor!
Definitivamente, comprar carro usado no es una experiencia bonita.
