El NetSpeak es una forma muy común de expresarse en la red. Ya que la gran mayoría de la expresión en Internet es escrita, se han inventado varias maneras para poder comunicarse más rápido, y poder agregar expresiones a las letras.
Cuando uno habla con otra persona, el lenguaje corporal y el tono de voz puede dar un significado muy diferente a una misma frase. En la comunicación escrita, esto se piede, y aquí es donde entra el NetSpeak, más específicamente, los smilies, tanto que ahora los programas que mueven la red, interpretan el NetSpeak. Por ejemplo, si yo escribo “: P”, que si se ve de lado es una carita sacando la lengua, el programa que maneja mi blog despliega :P.
Lo curioso es que los profesores, editores, padres de familia y cuanta persona cree que se las sabe todas en inglés, siempre han dicho que el NetSpeak daña el lenguaje, y ahora aparecen los que de verdad saben sobre el lenguaje, los linguistas, diciendo que más bien es una manera constructiva de explorar el idioma. Me imagino que lo mismo aplica a los que hablamos español, el NetSpeak debe ser una manera creativa para explorar el idioma inglés, y así aprenderlo mejor.

BRILLIANT! Saw the show, last Saturday, at the Rosemont Theater, and it was amazing! The acoustics there are outstanding and you could feel the music pulsing in the air. With the lighting, the background, & special effects, the instruments and voices did not lose one ounce of inpact by not being in the Gardens of Powerscourt. Looking at your grueling tour schedule, I don’t know how you keep it fresh & exciting…. a day or two in each place and then, on to the next stop… the wandering musical gypsy. Wish you could stay longer and enjoy some of the great things Chicago has to offer. We all know that you’re an accomplished percussionist/drummer (Is one term more respectful than the other?), but you are a spectacular entertainer, as well. YOU bring a lot of “fun” to the show with your bobbing & weaving from drums to cymbals to shaker to spoons, dueling drums and violin strings. Wish I could have met you after the show, but they cleared the crowds pretty quickly and no one without the meet & greet band was allowed to linger. Maybe next time, I’ll get that autograph. Continued success & happiness and be safe in your travels.
