De vuelta
Ya volví de mis vacaciones. Aunque todo lo bueno tiene que terminar, la experiencia de estas vacaciones estará conmigo para siempre.
Pasé toda la semana, del 5 de noviembre al 12 de noviembre, en Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste, en el hotel Villas Sol Playa Hermosa.
Los objetivos del paseo son muy sencillos:
- Pasar un buen rato, tranquilo, relajante.
- Sacar la certificación del PADI, como buzo de aguas abiertas
La salida
Antes de irme de viaje, tuve que ir de compras.
Resulta que como mi carro no está listo, tengo que hacer el viaje en moto. Para poder llevar todo lo que tengo que llevar, tengo que conseguir un maletín grande y como, así que decidí comprar un de esos grandotes que se usan para las excursiones.
Ya desde días antes lo venía buscando sin suerte, y aunque me lo habían ofrecido prestar (gracias pulpus), es mejor hacerse de las cosas propias. Terminé encontrando el salveque en la Universal de Multiplaza del Este. El salveque no tenía precio, pero como lo necesitaba, de todas formas lo llevé hasta la caja.
Como el cajero tampoco pudo encontrar el precio, mandó a que lo consiguieran, y unos minutos después el tipo volvió con un papelito que supuestamente debería ser el código del salveque, y cuando el cajero lo puso en la caja registradora, me cobraron 2800 colones. Así que empezé mi paseo pagando 2800 colones por un maletín que vale más de 30000.
Después de esto, a la casa para empacar y salir alrededor de las 2:30pm
El viaje
Hice mi primer viaje de más de 300km en moto. Pensé que iba a ser cansado, pero nada que ver. Aunque si es rico viajar en carro, no se compara con la sensación de libertad que da el viajar en moto, con todo y los problemas mecánicos que tuve.
Habiendo pasado Palmares, empezé a sentir que la moto sentía fuerza, pero analizando, deduje que tenía su razón de ser. Primero por la altura, al haber menos aire, el motor no se desempeña tan bien como en el centro de San José. Segundo, el peso, el mío más el del salveque, subiendo cuestas, y yo manejando como si anduviera por San José sin nada de peso extra. Lo único que hizo fue acelerar un poco más la moto, y terminé de subir sin problema.
Decidí irme por el puente de La Amistad, que aunque es más largo, debería valer la pena con tal de decir que pasé el puente en moto. A decir verdad, no fue la gran cosa, y la moto empezó a fallar antes del puente. Simplemente se apagaba, como si se estuviera quedando sin gasolina, aunque tuviera el tanque casi lleno. Me imagino que cuando le puse gasolina, le entró alguna basura, o la gasolina no era de muy buena calidad, lo cual en Costa Rica no es noticia nueva (solo basta preguntar a cualquier mecánico para saber que es verdad).
Para darle un descanso a la moto, hice una parada a comer en un restaurante unos 40km antes de Sardinal, a las 4:30pm, donde me comí un delicioso arroz con pollo, ya que no comía nada desde el desayuno. A las 5pm reanudé mi viaje, para llegar al hotel alrededor de las 5:30pm.
El hotel/villas
Me hospedé en la villa 66-1. Es como una casa de lujo, pero pequeña. Un cuarto con una cama matrimonial, una sala con un sofá-cama, televisor, equipo de sonido, VHS. Una cocina con cocina/horno eléctrico, horno de microondas, refrigerador. Baño con tina. Agua caliente. Amplia terraza con una vista increíble hacia Playa Hermosa. Lamentablemente, mi villa no contaba con piscina privada, pero otras sí.
Las villas fueron construidas en una colina, y la mía está muy cerca de la cima, por lo que tenía una excelente vista hacia los dos lados de la colina, con una playa diferente en cada lado. Esto también tiene su lado negativo, porque aunque el hotel tiene un servicio de transporte dentro del hotel, yo soy un desesperado al que no le gusta esperar por el transporte, y terminaba subiendo la colina a pie. En toda la semana, subí esa colina por lo menos dos veces diarias bajo el calor de la playa, algunos días, más de dos veces.
No podía faltar el intento del hotel por venderme algún tipo de plan vacacional. Como yo ya soy socio del complejo, el intento era para venderme una mejora a mi plan. Por dicha, estoy haciendo todavía números para ver de donde saco dinero para construir mi casa, y todavía me estoy recuperando de mi carro, de lo contrario, probablemente hubiera terminado comprando.
Para terminar de convencerme ( o por lo menos intentar ), el sábado me invitaron a cenar en el restaurante del hotel. Por mí, perfecto, un día menos que hay que cocinar. En lugar de terminar en una cena donde tengo que estar a la defensiva, Vielka ( la vendedora ) y yo terminamos teniendo una hermosa velada hablando de todos los aspectos de nuestra vida por 3 horas, y dedicando unos 10 minutos al final de la cena a hablar sobre el plan vacacional.
El hotel funciona junto con Condovac La Costa, y comparten instalaciones, como canchas de tennis, baloncesto, cancha de volleyball de playa, y disco en las noches.
Sin moto
El único pero que si tengo sobre las villas, es el parqueo. No tienen! Lo que hay es zonas designadas de parqueo, que están cerca de las villas. Pero yo ando en moto! Y la moto se puede dejar en cualquier lugar! Cierto? Pues NO!
Uno de los guardas me dijo que la podía dejar en un sacate a un lado de la villa, con la mala de suerte de que justo donde quedó la patilla para descansar la moto había un hueco. Al soltar la moto para parquearla, se calló y como consequencia se quebró la manilla del clutch.
El sábado lo gasté buscando una solución al problema de la moto. Soldar la pieza no era posible según el soldador. Para pedir la pieza desde San José, necesitaban la quebrada como muestra. Así que la solución fue no usar la moto por el resto del paseo y mandarla en grúa hasta San José.
Por dicha tengo la moto bien asegurada, y me valí de INS Asistencia para traerla en grúa. Mi hermana, Rebe, me ayudó a averiguar si INS Asistencia cubría transporte de motos ( y sí lo cubren ).
INS Asistencia es un servicio gratuito que brinda el INS a los asegurados. En el caso de los automóviles, como el carro y la moto, me brindan asistencia gratuita en cualquier lugar del país en tres eventos al año. En este evento, llevaron la moto desde Playa Hermosa hasta la cochera de mi casa, en una grúa de plataforma, completamente gratis.
PADI Open Water Diver course
PADI, la asociación profesional de instructores de buceo, es una de las organizaciones de enseñanza de buceo más respetada a nivel mundial, la certificación para aguas abiertas permite bucear hasta una profundidad de 60 pies/18metros así como alquilar y comprar equipo de buceo en cualquier lugar del mundo.
Aunque ya había reservado mi campo por teléfono antes del viaje, el domingo lo primero que hice fué ir a inscribirme para empezar el curso desde el Lunes. El curso dura cuatro días:
- Dos días de buceo en piscina
- Dos días de buceo en mar abierto
- Teoría: Antes de los buceos, hay que aprenderse un libro de 5 capítulos. Después de cada uno de los cuatro primeros capítulos hay que hacer un quiz, y después del último capítulo hay que hacer un examen final ( me saqué 100% en todos los quices y 98% en el final )
Algo que me gusto mucho sobre el curso de buceo, es que no solo me dijeron las cosas que no debo hacer, o que si las hago me voy a morir, sino que me dieron toda la explicación científica del por qué me iba morir si hacía esas cosas. Me imagino que a la mayoría de las personas, la explicación las asusta lo suficiente para no cometer errores, en mi caso, me evita el probar los errores simplemente para buscar una explicación.
En los primeros buceos, en la piscina, se aprende a respirar bajo el agua, se practican medidas de seguridad y que se debe hacer en caso de que algo salga mal. En los buceos en agua abierta, se vuelve a practicar todo lo que se aprendió en la piscina, pero es más como un paseo de buceo, ya que también se pasea un rato bajo el agua, y entre buceos se comen frutas y se descanza.
Algo que encuentro divertido hasta cierto punto, es que antes del último buceo, me pusieron a nadar y flotar durante 10 minutos en el mar. Como medida para asegurarse que el estudiante puede sobrevivir ante una eventualidad mientras bucea, me parece una medida genial, sin embargo, pierde un poco el sentido si se considera de que ya tenía los dos días de piscina, y dos buceos en agua abierta. Que pasaría si me hubiera ahogado durante los buceos de piscina? Si la respuesta es que la piscina es un ambiente controlado, que pasaría si me hubiera ahogado en el buceo de agua abierta que acababa de terminar? Pero bueno, para no hacer problemas, tuve que nadar y flotar. Aunque seguí vacilando al instructor ( Andreas, un suizo muy buena gente ) por ese hecho durante el resto del curso.
Al terminar la certificación, me dan un papel temporal para poder bucear mientras me llega el carné de plástico desde USA. Espero que no se pierda en el correo.
Tiempo libre
El poco tiempo libre que me quedaba de las clases de buceo ( mañanas ), lo dedicaba a estudiar la teoría para el próximo día de buceo ( noches ) y jugando volleyball de playa ( tardes ). Y entre estos ratos, lo que hacía era ver tele mientras cocina, lo que me resulta muy relajante.
También me parece que vale la pena contar, que hice el viaje con solo 2000 colones en efectivo, porque hasta en la pulpería, perdón, mini-super del pueblo aceptan tarjetas de crédito.
El regreso
La grúa llegó puntualmente a las 10am, como lo había coordinado INS Asistencia desde el día anterior. Mientras montábamos la moto en la grúa y la amarrábamos bien, salimos del hotel cerca de las 10:30am. Sobre el viaje de regreso, no sabría decir mucho, ya que lo dormí a pocos. Los trayectos cuando me despertaba era porque pasabamos por algún hueco o irregularidad en la calle, y tenía que asegurarme por el retrovisor que la moto seguía en su lugar.
Al llegar a San José, a las 3pm, inmediatamente fui a conseguir la manilla de repuesto y ya para las 5pm la moto estaba funcionando perfectamente otra vez, sin contar un rato que pasé al local de cooldtec preguntarle donde podía conseguir la manilla y para conocer a Spot, la nueva mascota que adoptó de la calle. Pero para no derviarme del punto que quiero resaltar, me quedé sin moto casi una semana, en la playa, por un problema que duré cerca de 1 hora en arreglar.

Há ainda os websites que prometem entregar meu SMS mas nem sempre chegam recepiente final. Alguns como o Mundo oi e o Oi Torpedo funcionam mas e para as outras operadoras? They include things like pattern recognition, colors, wildlife, and models. These commonly focus on familiarization as opposed to memorization.
